We are awesome Chemical Engineers in the making...
This site was built through the efforts of The Junior Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – Xavier University Chapter (JPICHE-XU), a co-curricular organization for chemical engineering students of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, to provide a cyber venue for forums, discussions, sharing and downloads of relevant chemical engineering stuffs which may be of optimal use to the ChE students of XU.
THE ORGANIZATION
The Junior Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – Xavier University Chapter (JPICHE-XU) is a co-curricular organization for chemical engineering students. It is rooted from its mother organization, the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – Cagayan de Oro Chapter (PICHE-CDO), which constitutes licensed and professional chemical engineers in the city. It is also a member of the PIChE-JCM (Junior Chapter Mindanao), a coalition of JPICHE chapters in Mindanao, which comprises of those from MSU-IIT, University of Mindanao, Ateneo de Davao University and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan.
The organization has been existing and serving for the welfare of the chemical engineering students in Xavier University. As a co-curricular organization, its primary purpose of existence is helping chemical engineering students cope with their education in the university through offering services that cater their needs, such as tutorials, book rentals, plant tours, and the like, which will help increase their competency in this field. The organization also aims to develop camaraderie among the students and create a strong support system for them. Furthermore, it also serves as the link of the students to the faculty members of chemical engineering and the college. All the concerns of the students will be channeled by the organization to the college to help preserve their rights to a better education especially in the planning of its programs and curriculum. Worthwhile activities that will help the Chemical Engineering students gain a deeper understanding of the field are also initiated by the organization. Thus, in general, JPICHE-XU exists to bring out the best from the XU chemical engineering students.

As stipulated in the Charter of JPICHE-XU, the image above is the approved logo of the organization. This visual symbol contains meanings relevant to the field of chemical engineering.
GEAR - acknowledges the engineering aspect of our field.
ROUND BOTTOM FLASK - represents chemistry as the central science governing all processes pertaining to chemical engineers.
ATOM - symbolizes the role of each individual as significant to the totality of the organization.
COLORLESS GASES - portrays the role of chemical engineers in designing processes that are beneficial to mankind yet gentle to the environment.
ARROW - shows movement towards better ideas to improve the designs of processes.
